• GreenScreen List Translator™ provides a quick pathway to identify thousands of known chemicals of high concern as determined by authoritative lists, such as the European Union’s Candidate List of Substances of Very High Concern and California’s Proposition 65.
• GreenScreen Certified™ enables purchasers to readily identify preferred products and materials based on GreenScreen chemical scores and restricted substances lists (RSLs). Over 230 PFAS-free and preferred products are certified for use in textile manufacturing and firefighting foam.
• GreenScreen® chemical hazard assessments rigorously benchmark chemicals on a scale of 1 to 4 based on 18 toxicological endpoints. 

The GreenScreen Assessment Registry, with over 600 chemical hazard assessments, makes it easy to find out whether a chemical has a GreenScreen Benchmark score or not.

The GreenScreen Assessment Registry enables users to search for a GreenScreen assessment of a chemical by its Chemical Abstracts Service Registry Number (CASRN). If a valid, certified GreenScreen assessment for the chemical exists, the Registry links you to the Licensed GreenScreen Profiler(s) who conducted the assessment. Each Profiler has their own fee structure and rules for sharing assessments. Some assessments are free, some are purchased for a fee, and some can be accessed through membership to a database. If no GreenScreen assessment exists, users can contact Licensed Profilers for an assessment or Clean Production Action (greenscreen@cleanproduction.org) to learn how to complete a chemical hazard assessment and explore pooled funding options. 
 

The GreenScreen Assessment Registry supports standards and certifications. For example:

• GreenScreen Certified: Manufacturers pursuing Gold or Platinum levels of certification can quickly confirm whether an assessment already exists for chemicals in their product or formulation.
• US Green Building Council’s LEED Standard: Products that have 75% or 95% of ingredients assessed using GreenScreen contribute significant value toward earning Material Ingredient Optimization credits in building projects. Manufacturers and project teams can determine whether chemicals, including high volume ingredients, in their building project have been assessed with GreenScreen, thereby helping to meet their Material Ingredient credit goals. 
• Health Product Declarations (HPDs): Companies generating HPDs for their building products can check whether chemicals in their product have GreenScreen assessments.  The Benchmark score from a free and publicly available GreenScreen assessment replaces the List Translator score in an HPD; when creating an HPD using online tools, this function is performed by the automated List Translator services, Pharos and Toxnot.  If there is not a GreenScreen assessment that is free and publicly available, they can request one from a Licensed Profiler or work with HPDC and CPA to partner in pooling resources to commission one.
• EPEAT Standards: Companies seeking EPEAT certification for their electronic products can readily confirm if flame retardants and plasticizers in their products have GreenScreen assessments.
